We welcome volunteers for the following activities:
· Water Quality testing, chemical, biological or stream assessment (training provided).
· Land Use, etc. mapping activities using GIS & GPS methods (training provided).
· Experts & informed volunteers in Biology, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Civil Eng. & Law.
· Development of Master Plan and Strategic Plan. · Studying Nature Center design.
· Studying land acquisition for Open Space preservation. · Designing Trails.
· Environmental Advocacy issues in all Watershed communities (currently 10+ issues).
· Organizing watershed walks (Oct.) · Plng/Org. table at Comm. Events (Sep. Oct.)
· Further development of the current web site www.lbwp.org
· Publication of Summer/Fall, 2005 Edition, LBWP Newsletter. Need writers, graphic designers.
· Developing Meetings Programs. · Planning Environmental Education programs.
· Presentations on Nonpoint Source pollution, "Green Construction" & watershed issues (training provided).
· Membership development. · Grant application research and writing.
· Fund Raising. · Fall Environmental Cleanups (Oct)
· Attending environmental meetings & conferences to learn or speak on behalf of LBWP.
· Organizing activities at HQ - filing, gardening, selling organic products.

Other Announcements and Information
We invite those on our mailing list and others who see this message who are not members to join the Partnership at this time. Take part in our environmental activities. We need many more volunteers. There is urgent work needed to protect our watershed and action now is very important and can only be achieved with a large group of active members. There are many volunteer activities for you to consider. Some are listed below.
